Santa Ana Mater Dei’s Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis received some high praise in her recently updated ESPN evaluation.

After the UConn-bound star was named the MVP of the Joe Smith division at the Nike Tournament of champions, which included four of the top five teams in USA Today’s rankings, and averaged over 25 points a game, ESPN has made quite a claim.

‘The No. 2 ranked prospect in the 2011 class is easily the best shooter and scorer in the nation, regardless of class,’ ESPN wrote.

Mosqueda-Lewis is not the only Orange Country player receiving some ESPN attention.

Brea Olinda’s Kelsey Harris was named the West’s hoop player of the week. She was the Platinum division MVP at the West Coast Jamboree and averages 14 points a game for the Ladycats.
