The Lopes brothers, Christian and Tim, attended classes for the first time at Huntington Beach Edison on Thursday after transferring from Valencia, Edison Athletic Director Bruce Belcher said.

Christian, a junior shortstop, is considered a top professional prospect for the class of 2011. Tim, a sophomore infielder, is coming off an impressive summer season.

Both are expected to be contributors to an Edison team that should start out No. 1 in Southern California this spring.
