Football: Anthony Barr is headed to UCLA

UCLA has picked up a huge commitment from Los Angeles Loyola running back-defensive back Anthony Barr. The Bruins faced an uphill struggle to land Barr, who has deep ties to Notre Dame, but he told the coaches Wednesday night he was coming, according to his mother, Lori.
He has scheduled a meeting with UCLA coaches for Friday to discuss what position he’ll play. Barr missed most of last season with an ankle injury.
He’s expected to play defense at UCLA.
