Harvard-Westlake wins its 15th game in a row

North Hollywood Harvard-Westlake came into Los Angeles Loyola and turned loose 6-foot-5 Erik Swoope, who finished with 37 points, 12 rebounds and seven dunks in a 77-63 victory.

Harvard-Westlake, ranked No. 10 by The Times, improved to 17-4 overall and 10-0 in league in winning its 15th consecutive game. Loyola, ranked No. 6, dropped to 19-2 and 8-2, with both losses to Harvard-Westlake.

Damiene Cain and Austin Kelly added 16 points apiece. Miles Cartwright had 25 points for Loyola.

In other Mission League games, Los Angeles Verbum Dei upset third-place Encino Crespi, 48-45. St. Francis upset Sherman Oaks Notre Dame, 61-57. Alemany defeated Chaminade, 49-44.
