Girls’ basketball: Troy is going to have a hard time tonight against Etiwanda

Six members of Troy’s basketball team are injured.

Madalene Barrett, Stephanie Yano and Alex Sanchez have ankle injuries. Shelby Dougherty has a knee injury, Alecia Dimas has a severe bone bruise and is out until at least Feb. 10, and Gabriella Hanson has a back injury.

‘When it rains, it pours,’ Troy coach Roger Anderson said. ‘It’s beyond comical now.’

Troy (18-2, 6-0), ranked No. 8 in the Southland by The Times, will play No. 21 Etiwanda (17-5, 6-0) tonight at 6 p.m. at Etiwanda.
