Football: The never-ending season continues

Let’s see. Letter-of-intent day was Wednesday for football players, and on Saturday at East Los Angeles College, the people who run the All American Games are holding an invitation-only camp for high school football players, known as Football University.

Does anyone take a break anymore? I guess not. I have a feeling the organizers want to lock up players for the next all-star games.

There’s also a combine coming to the San Gabriel Valley on Feb. 20 at Citrus College from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. run by Phase 1 Sports.

This is life in 2010, nonstop, year-round training. But what about getting ready for track or baseball season? What about the multi-sport athlete?

Oops, that’s another subject.
