Football: L.A. Jordan picks new coach

Sheron Butler, the 31-year-old defensive coordinator at South Gate, has been named football coach at L.A. Jordan. Butler has served as Jordan’s track coach. He will replace Elijah Asante, who resigned to pursue other coaching opportunities.
