Boys’ basketball: Bryce Jones scores 28 points for Taft

USC-bound Bryce Jones contributed 28 points and eight rebounds to help Woodland Hills Taft (20-4, 9-0) defeat Reseda Cleveland, 90-69, in a West Valley League game.

Landon Drew added 17 points and Jordan Gathers 15. Jason Johnson had 27 points for Cleveland.

In the Western League, Fairfax received 24 points from Jordan Weathers and 20 points from Donte McFrazier in an 82-41 victory over Venice. University defeated LACES, 74-70, with Anthony Harris scoring 29 points and David Nwaba 22 points.
In the East Valley League, Grant got 28 points and 20 rebounds from sophomore Gor Plavchyan to defeat Van Nuys, 99-60.
