The Reebok Summer Championships held in Las Vegas each summer has lost its sponsorship and will not take place this summer, according to Jim Allen, the co-founder of the event.

Increasing facility costs, loss of title sponsorship and the overall economic environment were cited for ending the tournament that at its height featured 300 teams from 44 states.

Other tournaments held in July in Las Vegas sponsored by Nike and Adidas are expected to continue.
