Boys’ basketball: Verdugo Hills clinches share of title

For the first time since 1959, Verdugo Hills has clinched at least a share of a league title in basketball. The Dons (19-7, 10-1) defeated Arleta, 71-24. All they need to do is beat Van Nuys on Friday night at home to win the East Valley League championship.

Aragad Abramian had 19 points and Chris Dees 17 points. Sam Colmenero added 15 points.
