Santa Monica lost a couple games early in the season to teams the Vikings shouldn’t have lost to, but they have found their stride this month and knocked off No. 1-seeded Chino Hills, 40-39, Tuesday night to advance to the semifinals of the Division 1A playoffs.
The Vikings used balanced scoring and will face Ontario Colony in the semifinals.
