Taft has 18-10 lead after first quarter

Woodland Hills Taft’s experience in semifinal games is showing early on, helping the Toreadors take an 18-10 lead over Crenshaw after the first quarter of their City Section semifinal game.

Crenshaw had airballs and lots of bad shots in the first quarter. Maybe the Cougars will settle down.

In other games in the Southern Section, Crespi leads Sherman Oaks Notre Dame, 51-44, through three quarters. Mater Dei has a 52-32 lead over Rancho Verde. Leuzinger leads Loyola, 50-38. Harvard-Westlake leads Compton Centennial, 56-52. Compton leads Burbank, 46-25.
