Boys’ basketball: Windward opens up 51-44 lead

Windward has begun to flex its muscle in tonight’s Division 6AA championship game.

The top-seeded Wildcats are ahead 51-44 through three quarters and it has been the ‘Big Three’ of Wesley Saunders (13 points), Kwame Firempong (12 points) and Jordan Wilson (11 points) doing most of the damage.

C.J. Cooper continues to lead Lutheran with 15 points and Bruce English has 13 points. The second-seeded Trojans are hanging around though and remain within striking distance with eight minutes to go.
