If Sherlock Holmes is available, he’s needed to solve the mystery of the missing jerseys at Reseda Cleveland, where historic and valuable jerseys worn by former Cleveland standouts Bret Saberhagen (baseball) and Kevin Holmes (basketball) have vanished.

They were once displayed in the Cleveland gym area. When the son of former baseball Coach Leo Castro went to the gym recently and didn’t see them, Castro inquired, and no one at Cleveland seemed to know what happened to them.

First-year Cleveland Principal Herman Clay said this past week an inventory failed to find the memorabilia. Former Cleveland basketball Coach Andre Chevalier said he remembers the jerseys being around in 2007.

Let the search begin.
