Boys’ volleyball: Mira Costa sweeps Loyola

There’s going to be a new No. 1 team in Southern California boys’ volleyball, and it’s Manhattan Beach Mira Costa, which swept No. 1 Los Angeles Loyola, 25-22, 25-23, 25-23, in a stunning performance Saturday night at Redondo.

Loyola won last year’s Southern Section Division 1 championship and returned most of its top players. Mira Costa was ranked No. 2.
