Former Simi Valley catcher Bryan Anderson is being promoted to the major leagues by the St. Louis Cardinals, Simi Valley Coach Matt La Belle said Wednesday night.

Anderson is at least the seventh former Simi Valley player to reach the major leagues since the 1980s.
