Boys’ basketball: Community Charter loses playoff opportunity

Community Charter Early College of Lakeview Terrace, which was 23-8 in boys’ basketball last season, had its membership in the City Section rescinded on Monday by the Interscholastic Athletic Committee because of repeated rule violations.

The school will revert back to associate membership and be ineligible for City Section playoffs next season. The school was scheduled to join the City Section for the 2010-11 sports season.
