College football programs have pro days, inviting NFL teams to come out and see their top seniors. Well, now high school teams are starting their own version of a pro day for college coaches.

Corona Santiago and Coach Jeff Steinberg is holding its version of a pro day on May 13 at 4 p.m., inviting college recruiters to show up and watch his players. He’ll also have a table filled with highlight videos, transcripts and player profiles for each coach.

‘It’s a structured football practice, but we’re going to do things they want to see,’ Steinberg said.

There will be specific drills to show off players, plus seven-on-seven competitions.

If this is successful, watch up for other schools to follow. Imagine how many college coaches might want to show up for a pro day at Westlake Village Oaks Christian or Santa Ana Mater Dei.
