Beware of La Mirada. The Matadores concluded the regular season with their 11th consecutive victory, a 6-3 triumph over Bellflower.
Kyle Harper and Daniel Poncedeleon combined on a two-hitter. Nick Mandry hit a three-run triple to up his RBI total to 37.
La Mirada is 21-8 overall and 11-1 in the Suburban League.
Van Nuys Montclair Prep finished one of its best regular seasons in recent years with a 10-0 win over L.A. Baptist in the Olympic League. Max Fried needed only 58 pitches to win his eighth game. Dylan Satin had a pinch-hit two-run single. Montclair Prep is 20-7 and 10-2.
