Volleyball: It’s a Loyola-Mira Costa rematch for Division 1 title

Los Angeles Loyola and Manhattan Beach Mira Costa each won their Southern Section Divsion 1 semfiinal matches in boys’ volleyball Tuesday night, setting up a dream matchup in Saturday’s 7 p.m. final at Cypress College.
Loyola defeated Corona del Mar, 25-20, 26-24, 25-16, to have a chance to win its second consecutive Division 1 title. Steve Irvin had 17 kills and Vaun Lennon had 13. Mira Costa swept Santa Margarita in three games.
The two schools met earlier this season, with Mira Costa winning.
