Baseball: Westchester takes 6-0 lead

Catcher Andrew Carter has two hits and three RBIs to help Westchester take a 6-0 lead over Venice after two innings of the City Section Division II championship game at Dodger Stadium.

Shortstop Kenny Peoples-Walls got his second hit of the game for Westchester, an RBI single in the second inning. Venice has replaced starting pitcher Aaron Soto with shortstop Nolan Sax.

Westchester pitcher Jamaal Moore has allowed one hit in two innings. The 10-run mercy rule could be invoked after the fifth inning.

Venice fans are making more plays than Venice players catching foul balls in the stands.
