Westchester won the City Section Division II championship with a 10-3 victory over Venice at Dodger Stadium.

Josh Gilder hit a two-run home run to left field, Kenny Peoples-Walls had three hits and Andrew Carter drove in three runs. Jamaal Moore (10-1) allowed six hits and struck out five.

It was the second consecutive Division II title for the Comets, who are expected to move up to Division I next season. And based on the fact they have only two seniors on their roster, the Comets might be able to compete.
