A dropped pop up and a misplayed fly ball in the third inning have allowed Santa Ana Mater Dei to score three runs and open a 3-0 lead over Simi Valley Royal.

With two outs and two runners aboard, third baseman Billy Conard lost a pop up in the lights at Blair Field, allowing one run to score. Then left fielder Justin Greco never saw a fly ball hit by Jacob Medina, and Medina ended up with a two-run double.
