Baseball: Marmonte League bans composite bats

The Marmonte League has voted to ban BESR (Bat Exit Speed Ratio) composite bats for the 2011 season, Simi Valley Coach Matt La Belle said. La Belle said he will soon present a proposal to ban BESR composite bats for the entire Southern Section.
The NCAA has banned the BESR composite bats for collegiate players.
