Baseball: New alignment for City Section playoffs

With a new City Section requirement that schools playing in the Division III playoffs must have 750 students or less, the baseball advisory committee had to make a realignment of its teams for the 2011 season.

Moving from Division I to Division II are Franklin and South Gate. Moving from Division II to Division I are Eagle Rock, Fairfax, Hamilton, Monroe, Venice and Westchester.

Moving from Division III to Division II are Belmont, Contreras, East Valley, Jefferson, Jordan, King Drew, Manual Arts, Maywood, Panorama, Roybal, Santee and West Adams.

There will be play-in games and wild-card games in Divisions I and II.
