With each summer basketball tournament comes new revelations on transfer students, which makes this week’s Fairfax tournament so intriguing.

The host Lions are unveiling 6-foot-6 sophomore-to-be Chauncey Hill, a transfer from Los Angeles Windward. He’s in the Fairfax gym and expected to play. He’s a big-time rebounder.

Fairfax also is in the running for another sophomore-to-be, guard Jahmel Taylor from Sherman Oaks Notre Dame who has been accepted into Fairfax under open enrollment but apparently hasn’t decided what school he’ll be attending.

Crenshaw is trying to hold onto top sophomore Isaac Hamilton despite rumors he could be leaving. Hamilton was there Monday playing for the Cougars, so maybe that will cease the rumors. Add to that, his brother, Daniel, a freshman, is on the team.

The summer has just begin, so there’s always next week to find out about more transfers.
