After featuring an offense that mostly consisted of three-and- outs, dropped passes and poor throws, St. John Bosco closed the first half with a play that could signal the start of a comeback.

The Braves caught Lakewood off guard with a reverse play and capitalized on the confusion. Junior wide receiver Justin Johnson threw a 43-yard touchdown pass to senior running back Rodney Morgan on the reverse play, and after the extra point, cut Lakewood’s lead to 13-7 with 19 seconds left in the first half.
