The first quarter has been completed, and St. Bonaventure holds a 7-0 lead over Long Beach Poly.

St. Bonaventure’s defense has handled the Jackrabbits’ passing game behind cornerback Tanner Souza, who has a 42-yard fumble recovery, a batted down pass and a tackle for an eight-yard loss.

Update: A 46-yard pass from quarterback Marc Evans to receiver Christian White to the two-yard line set up Evans’ one-yard TD plunge with 11:28 left in the second quarter. Then Evans threw a two-point conversion pass to Josh Grajeda, and St. Bonaventure leads, 15-0.
