Football: Defenses dominate early at Narbonne

Neither Long Beach Poly nor Harbor City Narbonne was able to pick up a first down on its opening possession and both teams were forced to punt.

Poly crossed midfield on its second drive but Chaiyse Hales’ quarterback sneak was stuffed at the line of scrimmage on fourth-and-one at the Gauchos’ 40-yard line.

Narbonne was unable to capitalize, however, going three-and-out.

Poly has a first down at its own 13-yard line with 3:34 left in the first quarter.
