Chen Cai, a 6-foot-8 high school basketball player from China who played for San Diego Maranatha Christian the last thee years, has been declared ineligible after receiving more than $30,000 in money and benefits from sports marketers, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune.

The San Diego Section hired a private investigator to gather information on the case.

It’s just another example of the corruption of high school basketball.
