The Coliseum League begins play on Friday night, and it’s an opportunity for unbeaten Los Angeles Dorsey (5-0) to show the progress it has made against Los Angeles Locke (3-2), a team it lost to a year ago.

The game will be at Jackie Robinson Stadium next to Dorsey.

Dorsey’s passing attack continues to blossom behind Washington-bound quarterback Joseph Gray, who has passed for 1,303 yards and 13 touchdowns. Locke has talented running back Tony Bell.

But each game is about Dorsey preparing for its ultimate test, Crenshaw, on Nov. 12. The Dons’ defense has to keep getting better, and the offense needs to work hard at developing a threat at running back.
