Football: Beach towels are out at Crespi

It’s more than 2 1/2 hours before kickoff for Encino Crespi’s homecoming game against unbeaten Mission Hills Alemany, and Crespi fans have put out their beach towels en masse trying to reserve seats in their bleachers.

It’s a colorful collection, including Dodger, USC and UCLA towels. I’m going to be sitting outside the press box, because it’s too crowded with all the new gear needed to run the Celts’ $250,000 video board and scoreboard.

I’ll be blogging, and there should be lots of points scored. Another game we will be covering is the Trinity League battle between Anaheim Servite and Bellflower St. John Bosco.
