Who says the Democrats are the underdog? The Los Angeles Jefferson Democrats are 7-0 and facing their toughest test of the season on Friday against Arleta.

Jefferson is the biggest benefit of the new leagues in the City Section, getting to leave the Coliseum League and join the Southern League.

Third-year Coach David Wiltz has a standout running back in Davion Roberts, who has rushed for more than 100 yards in six of Jefferson’s seven games.

Of course, Jefferson’s competition hasn’t been particularly strong, but if the Democrats turn in a good performance against Arleta, people will take notice.
