Football: Unbeaten Reseda picks up a new fan

Unbeaten Reseda (7-0) has gained a new fan _ the coach of the team the Regents demolished last week.

Hollywood Coach Ceasar Sandoval called the Regents the best team he has faced in the last five years after Reseda’s 68-28 victory.

‘I was genuinely impressed,’ Sandoval said.

Sandoval said Reseda deserves to be the No. 1 seed for the City Section Division II playoffs.

‘I’m a fan,’ he said.

Reseda Coach Alonso Arreola said he was impressed with Hollywood junior quarterback Jeremi Ross, who displayed toughness in defeat. Ross had 256 yards passsing, threw for four touchdowns and rushed for 206 yards.

Reseda running back Marquis Madison rushed for 155 yards and scored two touchdowns.
