USC will be the site for a nonleague doubleheader of top teams playing on Monday, March 14.

In the first game, defending City Section Division I champion Woodland Hills El Camino Real will face Valencia West Ranch at 3:30 p.m., followed by La Puente Bishop Amat taking on Chatsworth at 7 p.m.

Expect teams to use their top pitchers, which means El Camino Real’s Cal State Fullerton-bound Jose Cardona and West Ranch’s San Diego-bound Ryan Keller.

Bishop Amat has USC commit Rio Ruiz at shortstop, though he’s supposed to do a little relief pitching this spring. And Chatsworth is loaded with pitchers, led by Pepperdine-bound Aaron Brown.

Count me in to be at USC.

Also, it appears Dodger Stadium will be available for the Southern Section championships on June 4. Negotiations must be finalized.
