Baseball: Henry Owens commits to Miami

Miami has won the recruiting battle for perhaps the No. 1 pitcher in California, left-hander Henry Owens of Huntington Beach Edison. Coach Steve Lambright said Owens committed to the Hurricanes following a recruiting visit this past weekend.
Another top Edison prospect, shortstop Christian Lopes, is down to Miami and USC.
Both Owens and Lopes are considered top professional prospects.
