Football: Contract is signed, and the Coliseum is in

The City Section has signed the contract making the Coliseum the site for the City Section Division I championship game in football on Saturday, Dec. 11 at 1 p.m.

The Division II final will be played on Friday, Dec. 10 at 7 p.m. at East Los Angeles College.

The seeding meeting is set for next Saturday. The opening round of the playoffs will be on Friday, Nov. 19. And, in a big change, there will be no playoff games on the Wednesday prior to Thanksgiving. The City quarterfinals will take place either Friday, Nov. 26 or Saturday, Nov. 27.

The semifinals will be on Friday, Dec. 3.
