Mission Viejo is showing why it is ranked No. 1 in the Southland by The Times.

The Diablos have a 21-0 lead over host Tesoro at halftime of tonight’s South Coast League showdown.

Tre Madden has run for one touchdown and passed for another for Mission Viejo, which scored on three of its five first-half possessions.

No. 15 Tesoro has punted four times and turned it over on downs.
