Football: It’s a night of big-time football

OK, I hear there has been lots of talking going on in barber shops about Friday night’s City Section showdown between Crenshaw and Dorsey. It’s time for action.

I’ll be blogging the activities beginning at 7 p.m.

We’ll also have blogging from Alemany High for the battle of unbeatens, La Puente Bishop Amat against Alemany for the Serra League title.

And I’ll try to keep you updated on the neighborhood rivalry game between Encino Crespi and Sherman Oaks Notre Dame.

On Saturday, the City Section playoff pairings should be released by 11 a.m. We’ll have that, too. And on Sunday, the Southern Section pairings start to come out after 11 a.m.

It’s a busy time and a fun time for high school football.
