Neither of the top two seeds will be in the City Section Division II final.

No. 4 Sun Valley Poly stunned top-seeded and defending champion Woodland Hills Taft, 25-21, 26-24, 16-25, 25-18 and No. 3 Palisades turned the tables on No. 2 Venice, 25-16, 25-20, 16-25, 25-22 in the semifinals Tuesday night.

East Valley League champion Poly (27-5) hasn’t lost a best-of-five match to a City opponent all season while Western League runner-up Palisades (22-7-2) finally appears to be at full strength and is hitting on all cylinders.

Poly and Palisades will play for the championship at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Roybal Learning Center.

There were no upsets in Division I, as top-seeded Granada Hills swept No. 4 Harbor City Narbonne and No. 2 Carson did the same to No. 3 Sylmar in Tuesday’s semifinals.

Despite its impressive record, Marine League winner Carson (28-1-1) will be a huge underdog versus reigning West Valley League and Division I champion Granada Hills (32-3), which hasn’t surrendered more than 15 points in a set through three playoff matches.

The Division I final is Saturday at 5 p.m., also at Roybal Learning Center.
