CIF legal expenses remain good business for lawyers

Legal expenses for the California Interscholastic Federation, the governing body for high school sports, are not cheap. In fact, the lawyers are making good money based on the expenses for CIF legal matters.
In 2007-08, the cost was $497,996. In 2008-09, it was $716,775. Last year, it was $435,206.
Schools contribute to the costs. The expenses for 2010-11 are just beginning considering that Santa Ana Mater Dei and the Roman Catholic Diocese of Orange are suing the Southern Section, with a hearing scheduled next month.
