Boys’ basketball: Jordan Simmons isn’t just a football player

Jordan Simmons, an offensive tackle for Crespi’s football team, had 11 points and seven rebounds on Friday in the Celts’ 76-22 victory over Lancaster Desert Christian in the San Fernando Valley tournament.

Matt Mounier led the Celts with 20 points. It was Coach Russell White’s 200th career victory.

Woodland Hills El Camino Real advanced with a 63-32 win over Milken. Anthony Jones had 18 points.

North Hollywood Campbell Hall (8-0) defeated Bakersfield Stockdale, 79-62. Cole Huff had 24 points and Austin McBroom 20.

Harvard-Westlake defeated Pacifica, 86-44. Jordan Butler scored 19 points.
