Girls’ basketball: The Samuelson sisters combine for 54 points in league opener

Karlie Samuelson and her sister, Bonnie, combined for 54 points to lead Huntington Beach Edison to a 103-28 win against Fountain Valley on Thursday evening in their Sunset League opener.

Karlie, a sophomore point guard, shot 11 of 13 from the field and made seven three-pointers. Bonnie, a Stanford-bound senior, added 25 points for Edison (13-1).
