You never know how many fans from North Hollywood Harvard-Westlake are going to show up to a home basketball game. It can be very few, because the students certainly need their study time. But they also come out en masse for big games, and this is a week for big Mission League games.

On Monday, first place is on the line, when the Wolverines (13-2, 2-0) host Encino Crespi (14-3, 2-0). Then Harvard-Westlake hosts Chaminade on Wednesday, followed by a third consecutive home game against rival Los Angeles Loyola on Friday. That’s a lot of basketball for the students to watch, so the visiting team could get lucky by showing up with more fans.

We’ll finally get to see if concerns about Harvard-Westlake’s guards have been resolved. Crespi guards London Perrantes and Matt Mounier will try to offset the Wolverines’ strength at forward with Damiene Cain and Zena Edosomwan.

And I’ll be listening to those wacky cheers in the stands.
