The girls’ basketball team at Harbor City Narbonne High is having quite a season.

The Gauchos, ranked No. 9 in the Southland by The Times, have an 18-3 record and are considered the top team in the city section.

They have an experienced team with six seniors and four juniors, and boast a balanced scoring attack with four girls averaging at least eight points in Tailer Butler (11.9), Atoe’ Jackson (14.1), Kimberly Pickett (10.8) and Tori Breshers (8.0).

‘I call them my big four,’ said Coach Victoria Sanders.

Jackson had 21 points and 12 rebounds in Wednesday’s 51-34 win against King-Drew, her seventh double-double of the season. Narbonne plays at San Pedro (1-13) this evening at 5:30.
