Another day, another shutout for Huntington Beach Edison pitcher Henry Owens, who struck out 13 and allowed two hits as the top-ranked Chargers (11-1, 5-0) defeated Huntington Beach Marina, 3-0, in a Sunset League game on Friday at Edison. Owens is 5-0 this season.
Owens started the game with three consecutive strikeouts and was in control throughout. Christian Lopes had a sacrifice fly in the first inning and Jon Torres contributed an RBI single in the third.
