Baseball: No-hitter for San Fernando’s Jose Reyes

San Fernando’s Jose Reyes struck out nine and threw a no-hitter to lift the Tigers past Roosevelt, 3-0, on Saturday. Reyes is 4-0 for the Tigers (12-2).

Kevin Martinez went three for three with two RBIs.

Simi Valley defeated Woodland Hills El Camino Real, 13-5, in a Chatsworth tournament game. Mykel Davis hit a three-run home run for Simi Valley. Newbury Park defeated Woodland Hills Taft, 13-9.

Newhall Hart (11-2) defeated Anaheim Canyon, 9-0. Tyler Glasnow pitched six shutout innings with nine strikeouts.

Javy Lopez struck out 11 in Arleta’s 3-2, eight-inning victory over Thousand Oaks. Miguel Perez hit the go-ahead double. Granada Hills Kennedy defeated Reseda Cleveland, 4-2, in eight innings. Danny Alcantar had a triple and double for the Golden Cougars (12-3).

Narbonne improved to 13-3 with a 9-2 victory over Birmingham. Jeysen Delgado had four hits.

Westlake Village Oaks Christian (10-2) defeated Wilmington Banning, 6-5. Travis Radke improved to 5-0. Evan Ocello had two hits and scored four runs. Brandon Evans had two hits and two RBIs.

In the Chino tournament, St. Francis defeated Serrano, 15-2. Jeff Garavaglia and Anders Schraer had three hits apiece, hit home runs and had four RBIs each.
