Basketball: Michaelyn Scott earns MVP honors at all-star game

Michaelyn Scott of Washington scored 25 points, including five three-pointers, to earn MVP honors and lead the City Section past the Southern Section, 108-106, in the Collision all-star game. He had 12 points in a row at one point.
Etiwanda’s Byron Wesley led the Southern Section with 17 points and 10 rebounds.
In the girls’ all-star game, the City Section defeated the Southern Section, 78-73, with Taylor Holeman from LACES receiving MVP honors with 19 points, 12 rebounds, six blocks and four steals. She is headed to Villanova.
