Baseball: Taft wins South Bay Classic

Woodland Hills Taft rallied from a 5-1 deficit and defeated Harbor City Narbonne, 6-5, in the championship game of the South Bay Classic.

Jerry Barrajas threw a complete game and was named tournament MVP. Jordan Berger was selected top offensive player. Jeremy Feldman had the game-winning RBI in the top of the seventh inning.

Taft is 13-7.

In the Alpha League, Van Nuys Montclair Prep defeated Crossroads, 9-1. Myles Hager, Max Miller and Ben McKendall hit home runs. Max Fried struck out nine in six innings.

In San Diego, No. 1 Huntington Beach Edison (15-2) defeated Pleasant Grove, 10-0.
