Carson Coach Elijah Asante is wasting no time in trying to get his team prepared to return to City Section Division I championship game.
The Colts begin spring practice this week, and they’ll need to keep improving because Marine League foe Harbor City Narbonne is considered a clear favorite to win the City championship.
But Asante doesn’t mind being in the underdog role. His team once again will be playing a tough nonleague schedule. And the Colts certainly aren’t lacking in talent, not with the return of talented receiver Darreus Rogers, running backs Kameron Walker and Kendell Sparks and new quarterback Jordan Lasley, a sophomore-to-be.
